Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 04/05/2008 regarding reimbursement of the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner due to an accident while he was in service.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 04.05.2008 regarding reimbursement of the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner due to an accident, while he was in service.

2.The learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that he was working as Police Constable and on account of an https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

accident, he has sustained injuries in his spinal cord. He was admitted at Sri Gokulam Hospitals Private Limited and taken treatment. Due to the continuous treatment, the petitioner incurred the expenditure of Rs.1,07,768/-. In this regard, the petitioner has submitted a representation to the 1st respondent on 04.05.2008 and the same is yet to be considered. Thus, without going into the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 04.05.2008 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitioner is directed to enclose the copy of the representation along with the orders passed in this writ petition.
