Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the 1st respondent Sub-Inspector of Police, Ponnur Police Station, to register the FIR against the accused persons
1) Dasarathan, son of Parthasarathy, 2) Sankar, son of Parthasarathy, 3) Mahendran @ Ramesh, son of Vaidyanathan, 4) Murugan, son of Marimuthu, 5) Balaji, son of Chandran, 6) Rajendran, son of Nataraj, 7) Natarajan, son of Perumal, 8) Krishnamurthi, son of Eucharan, 9) Subramani, son of Thangavel and 10) Adikesavan, son of Munusamy, based on the complaint given by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent dated 31.08.2015 which was forwarded to the 1st respondent in Ref.Na.Ka.No.1699/SPG/SB/2015 dated 31.08.2015 and register the complaint and take appropriate action against the accused within a time frame fixed by this Court.

The present petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent Sub-Inspector of Police, Ponnur Police Station, to register the FIR against the accused persons 1) Dasarathan, son
of Parthasarathy, 2) Sankar, son of Parthasarathy, 3) Mahendran @ Ramesh, son of Vaidyanathan, 4) Murugan, son of Marimuthu, 5) Balaji, son of Chandran, 6) Rajendran, son of Nataraj, 7) Natarajan, son of Perumal, 8) Krishnamurthi, son of Eucharan, 9) Subramani, son of Thangavel and 10) Adikesavan, son of Munusamy, based on the complaint given by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent dated 31.08.2015 which was forwarded to the 1st respondent.
2. The petitioner is residing in Keelputhur Village, Vandavasi Taluk, Thiruvannamalai District along with her daughter aged 21 years. Her husband is aged about 65 years. On 30.08.2015 at about 7.30 a.m., when the petitioner was in her brother-in-law's house along with her daughter and grand children, the accused persons came there in a drunken stage and removed the tiles on the top of the house and by showing the knife, they intimidated her and her family members and threatened that they are going to kill her husband. Hence, a complaint was lodged by the petitioner on 31.08.2015 before the respondent police. Though almost two months have lapsed, no action was taken. Hence, the present petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
4. Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the first respondent to conduct an enquiry on the complaint dated 31.08.2015 given by the petitioner, if enquiry was not conducted so far and upon enquiry, if the materials gathered indicates commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
5. This criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
