Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 5 to take appropriate action against the respondents 6 and 7 in the light of the representation sent on behalf of the petitioner dated 21.08.2023 and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the patta issued in favour of the 7th Respondent Patta in Survey No.659/1/2 with reference Patta No.1256 of 2001 and restore the Original Patta bearing Patta No.1222 in Sholingar Village, Sholinghur Taluk, Ranipet District. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 5 to cancel the patta in issued in favour of the 7th respondent in patta No.1256 of 2001 and to restore the original patta bearing No.1222 in favour of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition, based on his representation dated 21.08.2023.

2. The petitioner claims that without any notice, patta No.1222 issued in favour of the petitioner was cancelled by the official respondents and thereafter, patta No.1256 of 2001 was issued in favour of the 7th respondent illegally. The petitioner seeks for cancellation of patta No.1256/2001 and restoration of the original patta bearing patta No.1222 in favour of the petitioner. The petitioner had given a representation on 21.08.2023 to the official respondents for the said

purpose. Since the said representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5. Since no adverse orders are passed against the respondents 6 and 7, notice to them in this writ petition is dispensed with.

4. No prejudice will be caused to the official respondents, if the aforesaid representation of the petitioner is considered, on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections if any from the respondents 6 and 7 as well as any other party whom the official respondents deem fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the third respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representation dated 21.08.2023 seeking for cancellation of patta issued in favour of the 7th respondent in patta No.1256/2001 and restoration of the original patta bearing No.1222 in favour of the petitioner, after hearing the objections if any from the respondents 6 and 7 as well as any other party whom the third respondent deems fit to enquire, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the aforesaid representation of the petitioner. No Costs. W.M.P.No.3589 of 2026 is closed.
