O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing to the seventh respondent to provide electricity connection to the petitioners residential houses. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the State Government acquired 4 acres 15 cents of land in Kadampuliyur Village, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District under the Scheme of SC/ST Community Welfare Scheme and formed layout as residential plots and the third respondent by way of proceedings dated 10.01.2012 allotted the same to 75 persons of Adi Dravidar Community in Gandhi Nagar Kuppam, Kadampuliyur Village including the petitioners and assignment patta was also granted in favour of them. However, electricity service connection was not effected, thereby, the petitioners made representation to effect electricity service connection. The learned counsel further submitted that during the pendancy of this writ petition, temporary electricity service connection was given to the petitioners residential houses. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners further 3/6

submitted that the second respondent vide order dated 28.10.2016 cancelled the assignment granted and some of the beneficiaries have challenged the same in W.P.No.11645 of 2024 and this Court has granted an interim of status quo on 30.04.2024 in the said writ petition. Hence, this Court may dispose of this writ petition by observing that the temporary electricity service connection given to the petitioners residential houses is subject to the result of W.P.No.11645 of 2024.

4.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this writ petition stands disposed of. The temporary electricity service connection given to the petitioners residential houses is subject to the result of W.P.No.11645 of 2024. No costs.
