Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records of the 2nd respondent pertaining to the order in Co.P.No.12 of 1997 dated 07.07.2005 on his file and quash the same. O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the order dated 07.07.2005 wherein the District Consumer Redressal Forum, Thanjavur, passed an award against the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that as against the order of District Consumer Forum, appeal remedy is available to the petitioner to file appeal before the State Consumer Forum under Section 15 of The Consumer Protection Act, 1986.

3.On a perusal of the above provisions, it makes it clear that any person aggrieved by an order made by the District Forum may prefer an appeal against such order to the State Commission within a period of thirty days from the date of the order. 4.In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to work out the remedy in the manner known to law.

No costs.

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
