O R D E R

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the third respondent Police to register the complaint dated 03.10.2015 made by the petitioner and to take appropriate legal action in accordance with law.

2.In the petition it has been stated that the petitioner is the resident of Melapettai, Mahadevapatinam Post, Mannargudi Taluk, Thiruvarur District and in the said village, there is a

Amman and Kali Temple. It is further stated that in the year 2011, the petitioner and people from the nearby area decided to renovate the temple. Hence, they formed a Temple Renovate Committee headed by one Mr.Ramu, S/o.Kothanda Kandiyar and all the public including the petitioner have collected money amounting more than Rs.5 lakhs. Thereafter, the petitioner was out of country. Now, recently he has returned to his village and asked for the account from the said Ramu who was keeping the amount collected from the public. The said Ramu along with Marimuthu, Raja, Murugasen, Govindaraj, Sivaraman, Kannappan, Saminathan and Arumugam have come to the petitioner's place and threatened the petitioner and his family members. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint on 03.10.2015. But till date no action has been taken. Hence, this petition. 3.

I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 4.Considering the submissions made on either side and without going into the merits of the claim of the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to conduct enquiry on the complaint dated 03.10.2015 given by the petitioner and dispose of the same, as early as possible.

5.With the above directions, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
