This application coming on this day before this court for hearing the court made the following order:- https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ This application is filed seeking to extend the time for completion of the Arbitral proceedings and pronouncment of Arbitral Award by a period of six months.
2. It is stated that initially the Arbitration proceedings commenced on 06.09.2016. On 04.10.2016, the applicant filed its claim statement and on 08.11.2016, the first respondent filed an application in I.A.No.2 of 2016. On 21.03.2017, the respondents filed written statement in the said I.A. The said I.A. was dismissed on 09.08.2017. In the meanwhile, the parties have filed a memo dated 22.08.2017 for time extension to pass the award. Accordingly, time for passing of the award has been extended till 08.02.2018 and the proceedings continued thereafter. Since the mandate of the Tribunal again expired on 08.02.2018, this application has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the applicant. Notice sent to the respondents returned with an endorsement "Addressee Absent". Though the name of the respondents is printed in the cause list, there is no representation for them either in person or through counsel.
4.In view of the above facts and circumstances, time for completion of arbitration proceedings and for passing of the Award, is extended by six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is made clear that no further extension will be granted.
