Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 6 to appoint a Special officer or a fit person to the said Arulmighu Kottai Peria Mariamman Koil, Kottaiyur, Mettur, Salem District pending disposal of the O.A.No. 8 of 2015 pending before the 5th respondent herein.

O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward to file the Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 6 to appoint a Special Officer or a fit person to the temple pending O.A.No.8 of 2015 before the respondent no.5.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that the petitioner has filed the application under Section 64 (1) of the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Act instead of Section 64 (4) of the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Act. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that appropriate application would be filed in this regard. 4.The Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to file an application under Section 64 (4) of the Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Act within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the concerned authority is directed to look into the same and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
