ORDER

1.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal and is disposed of by this order.

Mr.C.Kathiravan, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

The petitioners have filed the present writ petition seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners for notional promotion in the post of Forest Guard on par with juniors by including their name in the panel drawn for the year 2003-2004 with effect from 31.05.2004 in the light of order passed in W.P.No.35281 of 2019 dated 20.12.2019 by considering their representation dated 18.04.2020. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider and pass orders on the petitioners' representation dated 18.04.2020 on merits within a stipulated time frame.

This Court heard the submissions of the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials placed before it.

Though the petitioners have prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances of the case and without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representation dated 18.04.2020 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioners herein. 7.

The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
