By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner would state that her husband late A.Muthukannu was originally employed as a Linesman in the services of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board and was promoted as Foreman Grade-I and after attaining the age of superannuation, retired from service on 31.7.1999. It is further stated by the petitioner that since her husband had no issue through his first wife, the petitioner was given in marriage with the consent of the first wife and the marriage was also solemnised on 30.10.1979, as per the Hindu rites and customs, and out of the said wedlock, two male children were born during 1985 and 1989 respectively, and her husband died on 3.12.2014, leaving https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

behind his first wife, the petitioner and two male children born through her, and the legal heir certificate dated 20.4.2015, was also issued by the Tahsildar, Tiruvannamalai, to that effect. 3.The claim of the petitioner is that the first wife has given her consent for payment of family pension to the petitioner and in this regard, she has also submitted a representation on 31.12.2014, and the petitioner has also submitted a representation on 2.7.2015, for payment of family pension and though it was received and acknowledged on 13.7.2015, the petitioner is yet to be favoured with any kind of response and hence, she came forward to file this writ petition.

4.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mrs.R.Varalakshmi, learned Standing Counsel, who accepted notice on behalf of the respondents. 5.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 2.7.2015, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
