Respondents Prayer:- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the Second Respondent dated 07.12.2017 in Proceedings No. 3397/2016 P1 and quash the same thereby directing the Respondents to pay a sum of Rs.60,021/- spent by the Petitioner towards medical expenses with 18% interest from 14.03.2017 until the date of payment.

Heard Mr. A.R.Nixon, Learned Counsel for the Petitioner, Mrs. C.Sangamithirai, Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the First Respondent and Mr. K.Magesh, Learned Counsel for the Second Respondent, and perused the materials placed on record, apart from the pleadings of the parties. 2.

The Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 07.12.2017 in Proceedings No. 3397/2016 P1 passed by the Second Respondent rejecting the claim of the Petitioner for medical https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

reimbursement of Rs.60,021/- with 18% interest from 14.03.2017 until the date of payment.

It has been brought to notice that a sum of Rs. 45,016/- has been credited into the Account No. 1339101030010 in Canara Bank, Somanur Road, Mangalam of the Petitioner towards medical reimbursement claimed by him. Learned Counsel for the Petitioner acknowledges its receipt and has made an endorsement to that effect in the court record. It is further informed that the Petitioner had subsequently died on 18.01.2021 and his death certificate has been produced. In view of the aforesaid subsequent events after the filing of this Writ Petition, nothing remains to be decided in the matter.
