ORDER

The petitioner submits that he has been harassed by the respondent/police to disclose the facts about the accused/A5, against whom the case in Crime No.288 of 2021 was registered. Though the name of the petitioner is not mentioned in the First Information Report as accused, he is harassing by the respondent police. Hence, the above petition.

2. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner is one of the accused in Crime No.288 of 2021, dated 04.06.2021 registered for the offences under Sections 294(b), 353, 332, 307 and 120B of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

IPC; Sections 20 (b) (ii) (C), 25 and 29(1) of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotrophic Substances Act, 1985, and Section 4(1)(a) of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937. Therefore, the question of harassing the petitioner does not arise in this case.

3. In view of the same, as the petitioner is an accused, he was called for an enquiry and it cannot be termed as an harassment. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
