O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the F.I.R. in Crime No.347 of 2024 on the file of the first respondent herein.

2. It seems that based on the complaint given by the de-facto complainant/2nd respondent, a case in Crime No.347 of 2024 was registered against the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 189(2), 296(b), 78, 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002.

On a perusal of the entire records, particularly, complaint and F.I.R. this Court is of the view that a prima facie case is made out against the petitioner, as the allegations made against the petitioner are serious in nature. Hence, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition by invoking Section 528 BNSS Act, 2023.

4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 19.06.2025 Index : Yes/No Speaking Order : Yes/No ms To 1.
