The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to investigate the case and to file the final report for the offence of cheating, forgery, criminal intimidation in respect of Crime No.32 of 2009 on the file of the respondent in accordance with law.
2. The petitioner has lodged a complaint against one Shamsuddin, Kottiswari, Manikandan and Geetha for the alleged offences under section 465, 468, 471, 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC and the same was registered in Crime No.32 of 2009 on 05.12.2009. But till date no action was taken. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents and the learned counsel for the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that initially the case was registered for the offences under sections 465, 468 and 471 IPC and subsequently, the case was altered to sections 456, 468, 471, 294(b) and 506(ii) IPC. He further submitted that since the investigation involves lot of documents to be verified, it would take some time for the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report.

In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to complete the investigation in Crime No.32 of 2009 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months and the Superintendent of Police, Vellore District, is directed to supervise the investigation of the second respondent.
5. The criminal original petition is disposed of accordingly.
