ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to give Police Protection to the petitioner's life and her husband.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the first and second respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner fell in love with one Velmurugan, who belongs to the Scheduled Caste. Thereafter, they got married on 31.03.2025. However, it is objected to by the third and fourth respondents, viz., the mother and brother of the petitioner. They also threatened them with dire consequences and assured that they will be murdered. Therefore, the petitioner filed a complaint before the second respondent seeking Police protection.

4. In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner and to give adequate Police protection to the petitioner and her husband at the hands of the third

and fourth respondents herein.

5. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed.
