The Administrator General and Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu (AG & OT) has filed the instant application seeking permission to donate the enhanced periodical payment of Rs.30,000/- every month from the trust estate of Pettukola Rajamannar Chetty to Sri Ramacharan Charitable Trust, No.115, Sir P.S.Sivaswami Salai, Mylapore, Chennai 600 004, enabling them to meet their training expenses and other allied activities such as purchase of books, articles, stationery items, etc. 2.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned AG & OT filed his detailed report dated 26.04.2023. 3.

According to Mr. Raju, learned AG & OT, the trust estate of Pettukola Rajamannar Chetty is being administered by the office of the AG & OT as per the scheme decree dated 05.04.1923 in O.S. No.1132 of 1921 as per the will of the testator; as per Clause 19 of the will, the income derived from the trust estate should be utilised for the advancement of education of the poor and deserving pupils.

The learned AG & OT further submitted that Sri Ramacharan Charitable Trust, which has been getting Rs.20,000/- per month towards periodical payment for the last two years, as per the orders of this Court, has addressed a request letter dated 26.04.2023 praying to enhance the periodical payment from Rs.20,000/- to Rs.30,000/-, due to increase in expenses; hence, permission may be granted to donate the enhanced periodical payment of Rs.30,000/- every month from the trust estate of Pettukola Rajamannar Chetty to Sri Ramacharan Charitable Trust. Considering the detailed report dated 26.04.2023 of the learned AG & OT and also the submissions made by him, this application is ordered as prayed for.
