ORDER

The petitioner apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Sections 126, 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 351(3) of BNS Act and Section 4 of TNPWH Act, in Crime No.98 of 2026 on the file of the respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that, the petitioner followed the defacto complainant's daughter and when the same was questioned, the petitioner went to the defacto complainant's office, intimidated and assaulted him, thereby causing injuries to him. Hence, the complaint.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case by the respondent police and prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution's case and, on instructions, submitted that the injured has been discharged from the hospital and that the petitioner has no previous case against him. Hence, he opposed the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature and seriousness of the allegations and the manner in which the occurrence have taken place, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
