This Sub-Application has been filed to re-open the contempt petition.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the contempt petition No.1774 of 2022 was closed based on the status report filed by the first respondent dated 02.08.2022, wherein, it has been stated that the Government, vide letter dated 30.06.2022, requested the Chief Executive Officer, Tamil Nadu Waqf Board, Chennai, to take action against the delinquent officials of the Tamil Nadu Waqf Tribunal, however, the first respondent not acted upon based upon the status report. Therefore, this Sub-Application has been filed.

3. In reply to the same, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 submits that the respondents have initiated action against the delinquent official and decided to dismiss the delinquent official from service and an order to that effect has also been passed on 24.09.2024, hence, there is no necessity for re-opening the contempt petition.

4. Recording the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents 2 and 3, this Sub-Application is closed. 04.10.2024 ssb
