The petitioner claims to be the organizer of Maha Kumbabishekam Committee at Sri Ramalinga Amman Thiru Kovil, Bagathur, Iluppanatham-village.
He submitted a representation/application dated 21.04.2016 to the respondent, seeking permission to conduct a cultural program on 08.06.2016, in connection with the temple festival, which includes Karakattam, Mayilattam, Oyilattam, Naiandi Nigalchi, Bhakthi Padal (God songs), Comedy, Bharathanatiyam, Nadana Nattiyam, Aadal Paadal, Music Archestra & Village Folk songs and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that in the event of permission being granted by the respondent, there will not be any law, order or communal problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.
This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.
5 Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 21.04.2016, in accordance with law and pass orders by 07.06.2016 and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner forthwith. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
