O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to forbear the respondents 1 to 3 from interfering in the civil dispute pertaining to S.F.No. 586, Govindanur, Puravipalayam Village, Pollachi Taluk, Coimbatore District.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that there is an ongoing civil dispute between the petitioner and the fourth respondent in respect of the property situated in S.F.No. 586, Govindanur, Puravipalayam Village, Pollachi Taluk, Coimbatore District. In the interim, the fourth respondent lodged a complaint which led to the

issuance of CSR No. 80 of 2024. Under the guise of an enquiry, the second respondent has unlawfully interfered in the civil dispute between the petitioner and the fourth respondent. The learned counsel seeks an order from this Court restraining the respondents 1 to 3 from further interference in the civil matter.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that, on the complaint lodged by the fourth respondent, an enquiry was conducted, and the same has been closed.

4. Heard the submissions of both sides and perused the materials placed before the Court.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that the second respondent has no jurisdiction or authority to intervene in the ongoing civil dispute between the petitioner and the fourth respondent. It is well-settled that matters relating to civil disputes are to be adjudicated by the appropriate civil forum, and the involvement of the second respondent in this case is unwarranted. Accordingly, this

Court directs the second respondent not to interfere with the civil dispute between the petitioner and the fourth respondent pending before the appropriate civil forum. However, it is made clear that if either the petitioner or the fourth respondent commits any offence, the second respondent is at liberty to take appropriate action in accordance with law.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
