ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioners in the guise of enquiry.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners engaged in dairy business under whom, one Velavan, was working as a Manager, misappropriated company cash and was dismissed from the company during December 2019. He submitted that on 10.06.2021, the petitioners were called for enquiry by the respondent police and during enquiry, they were threatened by the respondent police to settle the money to the de facto complainant. came to know that the said Velavan only had received money from the de facto complainant on the guise of getting an employment to the de facto complainant. Under such circumstances, this petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent not to harass the petitioners in the guise of enquiry. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that one Megala had given complaint via online against the petitioners that they have received money for getting her a job. Hence, the petitioners were summoned to appear for enquiry. After receipt of the said summons, the petitioners have filed this petition.

4.The petitioners can give their explanation along with documents available with them to the respondent police during enquiry to substantiate that they are no way connected with this issue. Now, the petitioners undertake that they will appear before the respondent police for enquiry.

5.Recording the same, the petitioners are directed to appear before the respondent police on 19.07.2021 and 20.07.2021 for enquiry, without fail.

6.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
