Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to renew the petitioner's notary registration by considering his representation dated 18.06.2021. ORDER

Mr.Srinivasa Murthy, learned Senior Panel Counsel takes notice for the 2nd respondent. By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the time of admission itself.

2.The prayer made in this writ petition is to issue a mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to renew the petitioner's

notary registration by considering his representation dated 18.06.2021.

3.According to the petitioner, he is a practising Advocate as well as Notary public in Erode. Due to inadvertence, he failed to renew his notary registration. So he submitted representations dated 21.02.2019 and 18.06.2021 to the respondents requesting them to renew his notary registration. Finding no response on the same, he has come up with this writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

4.Learned Senior Panel Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent fairly submitted that the 2nd respondent is the authority to consider the claim of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner be directed to forward the representation to the 2nd respondent for consideration and on such filing, the 2nd respondent would consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits, within a reasonable time to be fixed by this Court. 5.In reply, the learned counsel for the petitioner agreed to submit a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent. 6.In view of the above, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a proper application/representation to the 2nd respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on such filing, the 2nd respondent shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders in the manner known to law, within a period of four weeks thereafter. 7.Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
