ORDER

The prayer in the Criminal Original Petition is to call for the records in Crime No.16/AC 2020 CC II dated 23.12.2020 on the file of the respondent - Page No.1 of 4

Police and quash the same.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent would submit that after registering an FIR, 7 witnesses were examined and 17 documents were collected. However, the evidence collected were not sufficient to go for prosecution of the accused. Therefore, recommending departmental action, a final report is filed in Unique ID:LTN20250000181C202500001 before the Special Court for Cases under the Prevention of Corruption Act, Chennai on 13.03.2025.

3. In view thereof, nothing further needs to be considered in the present Petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. The Trial Court is directed to consider the final report on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. Consequently, the associated miscellaneous petition is closed.
