This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 02.05.2016 and thoroughly investigate the same.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, who would submit that the complaint dated 02.05.2016, has been sent by post.

3. In view of the above submission, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, Chennai, along with this order and lodge a fresh complaint, containing the very same contents as stated in the previous complaint dated 02.05.2016, who shall assign the same to the Inspector of Police, and he shall enquire the same and take action in accordance with the law.
