The petitioner made a request to conduct a public meeting at Old Bus Stand, Arakkonam, Vellore District on 01.08.2015. The request made by the petitioner was rejected on the ground that it would create law and order problem. Challenging the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

2.A perusal of the order impugned would show that neither the petitioner has been heard nor reasons have been assigned in support of the decision arrived at. A mere apprehension about the law and order problem cannot be a sole ground. Thus, the order impugned is hereby set aside. The petitioner is at liberty to give a fresh representation to the respondent no.1 seeking permission. conditions that can be imposed including the place and time. The respondent no.1 will have to pass appropriate orders within one week from the date of receipt of the representation of the petitioner. 3.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
