Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to grant an order of stay of the operation of the Judgment and Decree dated 09.01.2020 in O.S.No.7453 of 2019, on the file of VI Additional City Civil Court, Chennai (IN CMP.No.11219 of 2021) pending disposal of the above AS.No.230 of 2021.

Since the petitioner/appellant had complied with the conditional order dated 15.03.2022 by depositing the sum of Rs.25 lakhs to the credit of O.S.No.7453 of 2019 on the file of the VI Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai, the interim stay granted on the said date is made absolute. The petition is ordered.

2.While passing the conditional order on 15.03.2022, we have already directed the VI Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai to deposit the said amount in Fixed Deposit in re-investment scheme in Indian Bank, Madras High Court Branch, Chennai, initially for a period of one year. The VI Additional Judge, City Civil Court, Chennai is directed to ensure that the said direction is complied with.
