O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondents to grant adequate police protection to the petitioner's property at Survey No.266/1A2, 290, 291, 293, 296, 298, 299, 301, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 309, 310 and 319, Manapakkam Village, Porur Taluk, Chennai, in constructing and erecting the compound wall by considering the representation dated 20.04.2023.

2. The learned counsel for petitioner submitted that, vide Settlement Deeds in Document No.1185/2021, 1186/2021 and 1188/2021, petitioner's father settled the above stated properties in favour of the petitioner. Thereafter, petitioner was in absolute possession and enjoyment of the property. On 18.04.2023, when the erection of compound wall work was going on in the petitioner's land, some rowdy elements and anti-social elements entered into his property and threatened the workers in dire consequences. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks police protection to the petitioner's property.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that, this case is civil in nature and the petitioner has to approach the appropriate authorities for seeking his relief.

4. Considering the submissions of the parties, it is seen that, petitioner apprehends threat from rowdy elements and anti-social elements in his property. The entire allegations are civil in nature. Therefore, the petitioner has to approach the appropriate authorities for seeking relief.
