O R D E R
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to give Electricity Connection to the petitioners property bearing Door
No.19, Nagammaiyar Nagar, Vasantha Garden 2nd Street, Ayanavaram, Chennai 600 023.
2. In view of the limited relief sought for in this petition, On the consent expressed by the Learned counsel appearing for either side, this petition is taken up for final disposal.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is having residential property in Door No.19, Nagammaiyar Nagar, Vasantha Garden 2nd Street, Ayanavaram, Chennai 600 023 and the said property was originally purchased by his parents. The petitioner and his brother were permanently residing in the said property. After the demise of his brother, his children started to give troubles. Hence, the petitioner has applied for an independent electricity service connection and the 1st respondent also inspected the said property and fixed the meter board on payment of necessary charges. Later when the 1st respondent was about to lay the cable, the children of his brother caused nuisance and immediately the 1st respondent refused to give electricity service connection and instructed the petitioner to get direction from this Court.
Thereafter, the petitioner has also made a representation dated 29.03.2019 to the 1st respondent, seeking electricity service connection, however, till date no action has been taken by the respondents on the said representation, due to which, the petitioner has put to serious prejudice and untold hardship and the petitioner has left with no other option except to approach this Court by filing this Writ Petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, would submit that this it would suffice if this Court issues direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.03.2019 and pass orders on the same within a particular time frame fixed by this Court. 5.The learned Government Advocate has no objection for said order being passed.
6. In view of the aforesaid submissions, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.03.2019 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the petitioner is
directed to sent copy of the representation along with the order of this Court to enable the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders. This writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
