This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.578 of 2016 and to file a final report within a time period.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that a case in Crime No.578 of 2016 has been registered and is being investigated by the respondent police.

In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is closed with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report or closure report as the case may be as expeditiously as possible.
