ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the fourth respondent to award claim amount for a sum of Rs.2 Lakhs for the death of the petitioner's wife Alamelu W/o. Arumugam to the petitioner under Pradhan Mantri Jeeven Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) scheme by considering his representation dated 19.03.2025 in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the present Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is to be passed as against the respondents 2 to 4 herein, notice to them is dispensed with.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's wife Alamelu paid premium under Pradhan Mantri Jeeven Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) Scheme from the year 2016 through the fourth respondent's bank and she died on 22.01.2025. Due to the demise of the petitioner's wife, he made an application

claiming the award amount, however his request was rejected stating that the petitioner's wife is not eligible, for which he made a representation dated 19.03.2025 to the respondents, however the same evoked no response and hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.03.2025 and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
