This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.142 of 2014.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions, submitted that investigation in Crime No.142 of 2014 has been completed and the case has been closed as mistake of fact and after serving of RCS Notice in RCS.No.20 of 2016 on the complainant on 25.08.2016, the closure report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate-III, Tirupathur.

4. Under such circumstances, no positive direction can be issued as prayed for by the petitioner and this petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedies in the manner known to law.
