O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 24.06.2017 of the petitioner, seeking appointment to anyone of the ''C'' and ''D" vacancies available under the respondent on merits within a time stipulated by this Court.

According to the petitioner, the respondent had notified around 350 vacancies to be filled up under his control in Group ''C'' and ''D'' categories. In this regard, the petitioner sent his application and his application was assigned No.180 for participation in the selection process. The petitioner has taken part in the selection process and finally he was selected and subsequently, the verification of antecedents was also done. The Superintendent of Police, Kancheepuram in his communication dated 27.10.2016 submitted that the petitioner has not come to any adverse remarks in the police station records. While so, till date the respondent has not come forward to issue the appointment order in spite of his representation dated 24.06.2017. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing this Writ Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Mr.ERA.Premnath, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of the respondent sought for 4 weeks time to consider the representation of the petitioner. 4.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.06.2017 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
