O R D E R

The petitioners are said to be the members of the Scheduled Tribe Community. The grievance of the petitioners is that the petitioners' community persons, at the instance of the respondent no.4, are not allowed to use the pathway to carry the dead bodies through the Survey Nos.10/8 and 10/9 in Nochipatti Periagoundanpalayam Village.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the said action is contrary to the decision arrived at in the peace committee meeting on 14.03.2015. The learned counsel further submitted that taking into consideration the pendency of the representation, the respondent no.2 may be directed to look into the same and dispose of the same.

3.Considering the above facts, a direction is issued to the respondent no.2 to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 28.07.2015, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity to the petitioners as well as to the respondent no.4. 4.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
