ORDER
This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to disburse the Gratuity, General Provident Fund, Special Provident Fund, Encashment of Earned Leave and Encashment of Un-earned Leave on private affairs to the petitioner.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was appointed as Sales Woman in the second respondent society in the year 1987 and she retired from service on 31.01.2023. However, at the time of retirement, the petitioner was only paid a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- as retirement benefits, as against a sum of Rs.18,31,618/- Thus, she made a representation dated 23.12.2024 before the respondents, seeking disbursement of balance amount of Rs.16,31,618/- together with interest for belated payment of retirement benefits. But the said representation was not considered, as on date. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition.
3. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that after retirement, the petitioner was paid with a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- and due to financial burden on the respondent society, the terminal benefits were not settled to the petitioner. Therefore, he prayed this Court to grant time to settle the balance amount to the petitioner.
4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.
5. In view of the above, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to settle the 50% of the due amount i.e., Rs.8,15,809/- to the petitioner, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and the balance amount of Rs.8,15,809/-, has to be settled within a period of three months thereof.
