ORDER

The present criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records in Crime No.378 of 2014 on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same.

2. A complaint was lodged by the second respondent with the first respondent police as against the petitioner and 16 others and the same was registered in Crime No.378 of 2014 for the offence punishable under Sections 147, 341, 323 and 506(ii) I.P.C. The petitioner has been arrayed as A.1. Now, the petitioner has filed the present petition to quash the said proceedings.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in Crime No.378 of 2014, on completion of investigation, charge sheet has already been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palladam on 16.8.2015.

4. Since in Crime No.378 of 2014 after completion of investigation, charge sheet has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Palladam, on 16.8.2015, I am of the opinion, the prayer made in this petition has become infructuous and hence, there is no need for this Court to deal with the other factual aspects of the case.

5. In fine, the criminal original petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
