..Respondent(s) PRAYER - This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2026 and Consequently reclassify the land classified as road poramboke measuring about 20 cents comprised in Survey No.202/1, Mecheri Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District and to assign the same to the petitioner by permitting the petitioner to purchase the same at the guideline value fixed by the authorities.

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to reclassify the land morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition from "Road Poramboke" to "Patta land" and thereafter, assign the same in favour of the petitioner by permitting the petitioner to purchase the same at the guideline value fixed by the authorities based on the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2026, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 2.Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

3.For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 1st respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2026, seeking for re-classification of the land morefully disclosed in the prayer to this Writ Petition from "Road Poramboke" to "Patta land" and thereafter, consider the petitioner's request for assigning of the said land by permitting the petitioner to purchase the same at the guideline values fixed by the authorities, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner and after hearing all the necessary parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
