J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by S. NAGAMUTHU,J.) This appeal has been filed by the appellant, who is the fifth accused in S.C. No. 370 of 2008, challenging the conviction and sentence imposed on him, by judgment dated 05.07.2014, by the learned III Additional District and Sessions Judge, Salem District.

Today, when the appeal is taken up, learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the appellant is no more as he died on 01.12.2015. The death certificate issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Mettur Municipality, with registration No. 2012/2015/02, has also been produced. The legal representatives of the deceased appellant have not come on record to prosecute the appeal further. Hence, the appeal stands dismissed as abated.
