O R D E R

The present petition has been filed to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner in the guise of false representation made by Poongavanam.

2. The petitioner is the owner of the plot in S.No.338/19 (Old S.No.226), Patta No.839, Sembarampakkam Village, Tiruvallur Taluk. When the petitioner made attempt to construct a toilet in her plot, one Poogavanam came and threatened the petitioner and also tried to grab the petitioner's land using political influence. It is further stated that though the petitioner gave a complaint enclosing the documents to prove her title, one woman police came along with local politicians and threatened the petitioner.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent police is frequently calling the petitioner in the guize of enquiry.

5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that already a complaint has been lodged against this petitioner and in order to avoid enquiry in the said complaint, the present petition has been filed.

6. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is constrained to pass the following order:- (i) The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the enquiry.

(ii) The respondent police is directed to conduct the enquiry in accordance with law, without harassing the petitioner.

7. The criminal original petition is ordered accordingly.
