ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner praying to direct the 2nd respondent-Police to register a case on the basis of the petitioner's complaint dated 04.10.2015 and to investigate and file a final report, in accordance with law.

2.In the affidavit filed in support of this petition, it has been stated by the petitioner that he is a business man and running an advertisement concern in the name and style of Advertisement Net. On 03.10.2015, after completing his work, the petitioner went to Part Hotel at Teynampet, for taking food. While the petitioner was taking food, one person entered into the said hotel, under the influence of alcohol and started to abuse the petitioner in filthy language, without any rhyme or reason. who is under the influence of alcohol, attacked the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint with the 2nd respondent-Police on 04.10.2015. Since no action was taken on the petitioner's complaint by the respondents-Police, the petitioner has come forward with the present petition before this Court.

3.Heard both sides. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner's complaint has been received by the 2nd respondent and it was assigned C.S.R.No.1171 of 2015.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the fact the petitioner's complaint has been received by the 2nd respondent-Police in C.S.R.No.1171 of 2015, this Court directs the 2nd respondent-Police to conduct an enquiry in C.S.R.No.1171 of 2015 and dispose of the same, in accordance with law, as early as possible.

With the above direction, this criminal original petition is closed.
