ORDER

(Order of the court was delivered by M.M. SUNDRESH,J.,) The petitioner has filed the above writ petition seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to consider the representations sent by the petitioner dated 19.12.2016, 09.01.2017 and 03.04.2017. 2.

The petitioner has made three representations alleging that there is an encroachment of water body without authority unauthorised cutting and removal of trees and sand and misuse of public fund, by misusing the official of the President of local body. After three representations, one of the representations dated 09.01.2017 was disposed of by the Public Works Department stating that there is no unauthorised removal of either sand or trees. The other two representations dated 19.12.2016 and 03.04.2017 made to the first respondent are still pending consideration.

Taking into consideration of the fact, we direct the first respondent to dispose of the representations dated 19.12.2016 and 03.04.2017 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after due notice to the petitioner and the private respondent viz., sixth respondent. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected WMP is closed.
