Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records in respect of the order in Na.Ka.No.1220/2017/L passed by the District Forest Officer, Vellore Region, Vellore, dated 12.09.2017 and quash the same and consequently, direct the respondents to renew the license of the petitioner's "Lala Lajapathi Saw Mill" situated at 19B, Sudhandhira Veedhi, Palamanier Road, Gudiyatham. O R D E R

Mr.M.Santhanaraman, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. It is seen that the petitioner is having an effective Appellate remedy before the Regional Office of the Central Government in the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate Changes, as indicated in the impugned order itself, by filing an appeal against the rejection of the renewal request. Without doing so, the petitioner has approached this Court and filed the present writ petition.

3. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of, by granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the said Appellate Authority and file an appeal in the manner known to law. It is made clear that this Court, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the Appellate Authority to consider and decide the same. No costs.
