(The case has been heard through video conference) The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.06.2021 for sub-division of property in his name.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, he has purchased the property to an extent of 7 1⁄2 cents out of 15 cents in Survey No.185/6C1 situate at No.57, Vennangupattu Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Chengalpattu District by means of a registered sale deed dated 17.08.2005. The remaining extent was purchased by other persons and a joint patta has been issued in favour of petitioner along with other owners. Hence, he has submitted an https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

application before the respondent seeking for sub-division of property and transfer patta in his favour, for which, he has also paid necessary fees. But, so far, the petitioner's application was not considered and no order has been passed in it. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought in the Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application and to pass suitable orders on merits in accordance with law after hearing the petitioner as well as other owners within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
