The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file final report in Crime No.79 of 2015 within the stipulated period.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has lodged a complaint before the respondent police as against one Arunachalam, Govindaraji, Soundar, Periyavan, Anandan, Raman, Maga, Selvam and Saravanan. The said complaint was registered for alleged offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 506(i) of IPC in Crime NO.79 of 2015. Though the said complaint was registered as against them on 07.02.2015, till date no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

3. I have heard the learned Additional Public Prosecutor and the learned counsel for the petitioner.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent to conduct enquiry and upon enquiry, if materials are gathered indicating commission of any cognizable offence, he is directed to proceed further in accordance with law, as early as possible.
