By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner would state that his son died in an accident during the course of his employment with the third respondent and therefore, filed a petition for compensation under the provisions of Workmen Compensation Act and vide Award dated 24.02.2015 made in W.C. No.249 of 2007, the first respondent has computed the compensation at Rs.3,41,380/- with statutory interest. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that the third respondent did not deposit the compensation within a period of 30 days as stipulated in the said award and therefore, submitted a representation dated 06.07.2015 to the second respondent to take appropriate steps to recover the compensation and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Selvakumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Rajendra Prasad, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.
4.This Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances, directs the second respondent to take immediate and appropriate steps, to recover the compensation, which is the subject matter of award in W.C. No.249 of 2007 dated 24.02.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
