O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal petition of the petitioner dated 15.11.2017 in the light of the proceedings of the first respondent vide letter No.47498/Ser.3[2]/2019-4 dated 17.02.2022 and the proceedings of the second respondent to the first respondent vide Letter No.Ser:3[2]/ 45187/2017 dated 05.04.2022 and also the letter of the first respondent to the second respondent vide letter No.47498/Ser.3[2]/2019-6 dated 01.06.2023.

2. The petitioner is working as an Assistant in the Taluk Office,

Sathyamangalam, Erode District and the next higher post is Deputy Tahsildar. While so, a panel was prepared for the post of Deputy Tahsildar for the year 2017. In the said panel the petitioner's junior G.G.Saleemunnisa was promoted and the petitioner alone was left out. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal dated 15.11.2017 before the 1st respondent.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent would dispose of the said appeal pending within a reasonable time as may be directed by this Court. In view thereof, this writ petition is dispose of on the following terms:- (i). The petitioner's appeal dated 15.11.2017 pending on the file of the 1st respondent shall be disposed of within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
