ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to transfer the application Registration No.445/2009-10 and computer Registration No.0912101476 dated 06.12.2010 in the name of the petitioner and consequently, direct the respondents to grant agricultural electricity service connection to the Well situated in Survey No.56/1, Batthalahall Village, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District, within a time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. It is the case of the petitioner that she is the absolute owner of the property situated in Survey No.56/1 [now Survey No.56/4 after subdivision] along with a Well, which was acquired by her by virtue of partition to her husband and she is in continuous possession of the said agricultural land. Though her father-in-law applied for free agricultural electricity service connection for the said Well in the year 2010, the same was not granted and due to partition, she made an application to transfer the said application in her name and to provide electricity connection. She also made a detailed representation
on 12.02.2026 along with relevant documents, namely, partition deed, legal heir certificate and death certificate of her husband, however the respondents did not consider her request and hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there may be a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.02.2026 and to pass appropriate orders.
5. In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner in this Writ Petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.02.2026 and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
