O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second Respondent herein to provide Police protection to the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 04.05.2022.

2. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had given a complaint against her daughter in law and her relatives. Based on the complaint, the F.I.R. has been registered in Crime No.72 of 2022 and it is alleged that the petitioner's daughter in law and her relatives have threatened the petitioner. In respect of which, the petitioner had already given a representation to the respondent Police. Therefore, the petitioner seeks Police protection.

3. Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents police would submit that a case has been registered in Crime No.72 of 2022 against her daughter in law and her relatives. He would further submit that it is the duty of the police to ensure the peace and tranquility in that area.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents.

5. Since the petitioner had already given a representation dated 04.05.2022, the respondents Police shall consider the same and act as per the ground reality.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
