This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent herein to forthwith consider the representation dated 19.08.2016 invoking the powers under Section 101 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, to return the land admeasuring 1.94 acres comprised in Re.S.F.No.141/2A situated at Sankari Village, Salem District to the petitioners herein since the same remains unutilized for the last 17 years. This writ petition has been filed seeking writ of Mandamus directing the respondent/the Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu, Backward Classes and Most Backward Classes Welfare Department, to forthwith consider the representation dated 19.08.2016 invoking the powers under Section 101 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, to return the land admeasuring 1.94 acres comprised in Re.S.F.No.141/2A situated at https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Sankari Village, Salem District to the petitioner herein since the same remains untuilized for the last 17 years. 2.When the matter is taken up today, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent after filing counter has submitted that the petitioners' representation has been considered rejecting the request therein. 3.In view of the fact that the petitioners' representation has been disposed of by order dated 16.02.2017, this writ petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is dismissed.
