ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 147,148,341,294(b),323,324 & 307 of IPC, in Crime No.196 of 2022, seek anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 01.06.2022 at about 7.00 pm, there was a wordy quarrel between the petitioners and the defacto complainant and it is alleged that the petitioners attacked the defacto complainant and threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are innocent persons and no way connected with the alleged offence. Further, he would submit that the petitioners have been falsely implicated in this case. Hence he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the injured victim is still being treated in the hospital and further submitted that, if the petitioners are granted anticipatory bail, there is a possibility that they will tamper the witnesses and hamper the investigation. Hence he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

5. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of this case, custodial interrogation of the petitioners are very much required, hence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. -sd/- 14/06/2022 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.) High Court, Madras - 600 104.
