ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide police protection against respondents 3 to 12.

2. Ms.R.Sangeetha, W.H.C.25244, H5 New Washermenpet Police Station, Chennai, is present today.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that respondents 3 to 12 had encroached upon certain lands and that she had taken steps to have the encroachment removed. Apprehending danger to her life, the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking police protection.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State and the learned counsel for respondents 3 to 12.

5. Learned counsel for respondents 3 to 12 refuted the allegations of the petitioner and submitted that respondents 3 to 12 are law-abiding citizens and they will not cause any harm to the petitioner.

6. The aforesaid undertaking given by the learned counsel for respondents 3 to 12 is recorded. However, the respondent police shall ensure that no physical harm befalls the petitioner.
